Because this is a blog about love and family, today it would only be fitting to talk about one very important relationship. Before there were family Christmases, Thanksgivings, Easters, camping and other celebrations, there was Charles and Leola. Both from small towns in western NY, they met in the 1940’s. At that time I don’t know if they had any idea that together they would leave a mark on so many people. Since then they have welcomed four children, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and have two great grandchildren on the way! They have traveled the world together and they have been there for every important milestone in their children and grandchildren’s lives. They are the glue that holds our family together. So today, on their 61st wedding anniversary, we celebrate the love of my grandparents. A love like theirs – sustaining 61 years and the joys and obstacles of life – deserves to be celebrated!
