These photos are near and dear to my heart because Nicole is a good friend of mine. We met at Ithaca College but it’s always felt like she’s a friend from childhood. After undergrad at Ithaca, Nicole moved to Florida for grad school and I stayed in New York to start my business. After grad school she moved to West Virginia. When we saw each other on her wedding day, it had been six years since we last saw each other. But of course, we picked up right where we left off. It was also my first time meeting Josh, though it certainly didn’t feel like it. I knew right away he’s the type of person you want to spend time with – he’s kind, he takes care of Nicole, and it’s obvious he adores her. All of the things you could want for your friend. Seeing the two of them together made me so incredibly happy because I saw how happy and content they both were. Nicole was beaming the whole day. To see her so joyful, couldn’t have made me any happier for the two of them. Josh’s family adores Nicole and Nicole’s family adores Josh. It’s easy to see how loved and supported they are by their family and friends. It was a day full of emotion. Bristol Harbour Resort was the perfect spot for them to get married because the style, decor, and cozy feel was very true to them. As I was driving to Bristol Harbour Resort that morning, it began raining and for the rest of the day it was windy and pouring outside (or as Nicole put it, it was a monsoon!) It never once took away from how much these two were glowing. I love going through these photos and reliving that day all over again. The photos tell the story of how much family and friends mean to them and how connected they are to each other. Here are some of my favorite moments from the day.
