Cape Cod Vacation

I have finally had a little bit of time to go through my photos from a recent trip to Cape Cod. The photos bring back great memories from a week that was filled with fun and relaxation. What more could you ask for than the refreshing feel of being close to the ocean, a cozy cottage, no plans but to go with the flow, an abundance of natural beauty and wonderful people to share it all with. I loved venturing out on sunny days just to drive through one small town after the next to take in all of the charm. I can’t wait to go back in October during my favorite season.

Here are some photos from Heritage Gardens in Sandwich. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.

Cape Cod hydrangea – a classic. I love that they are in every color.

Some pictures from Rock Harbor in Orleans. This was the only time during our trip that the weather was a bit overcast. I have always loved the way the sea grass, the ocean, and the color of the sand look together. I can’t wait to get back here for a sunset!

This guy was posing for me.

“Beach plum” = perfect shade for Cape Vacation!

We started and ended the trip with two great experiences. On our first night in Hyannis we saw Darius Rucker at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. Between his Hootie songs and his new music he put on an awesome show. On our last day we went to Boston. We took a tour of Fenway which was also a great time.

We visited on a game day so we got to see some of the preparations. One of the maintenance workers was cutting the grass around the baseline…by hand, with scissors! Talk about perfection. How cool would it be to have a job here?
