I was so excited when Cassie & Keith contacted me to photograph their Central New York Wedding at MKJ Farm. They told me how much they loved the venue and how great Jack, the owner, was. Before the wedding I visited the venue with Cassie and she showed me around the property. Her plan was to have the ceremony outside on the dock, given the weather cooperated. She mentioned she loved the venue so much, she wouldn’t mind having the ceremony inside either. I loved that she was so laid back and had faith the day would be beautiful either way! I could easily see why they fell in love with the venue. It’s such a beautiful location, with SO many wonderful spots for pictures!
When their wedding day arrived, the weather was gorgeous!! Cassie had an awesome group of bridesmaids that had a ton fun together. We hung her dress outside on her parents property. I’m so glad we had the opporunity to do this because it made the dress shots that much more meaningful. The getting ready shots are some of my favorites from the day! All of her girls helped with her dress, shoes, and jewelry. Once Cassie was ready we headed to MKJ Farm for the first look. The first look was truly beautiful and moving. You can tell Cassie & Keith have such a strong connection and that they comfort and support one another.
As you will see by the photos, I loved capturing all of the detail shots inside the barn! There were details everywhere you turned! They worked so hard collecting items and making it all come together. Their hard work really paid off! It looked stunning inside and had so much character and many one of a kind touches. The barn was full of mason jars, baby’s breath, lace, burlap, flowers, antique lanterns, and rustic crates…absolutely gorgeous!! Cassie loves the color orange, so she wanted to incorporate that into the details. She fell in love with the orange bridesmaid dresses as well! I love all of the orange details throughout.
The reception kicked off with their first dance, and the parents dances after dinner. Keith and his mom shared a very sweet, heartfelt dance together. Cassie and her dad started off with a slow dance and transitioned into an all out fun dance! They did an awesome job busting out moves and it really got their guests into the party spirit! As you will see, the rest of the night was non-stop dancing fun!! The owner Jack was incredibly accomodating the entire day. I truly enjoyed every moment of this wedding and I wish Cassie & Keith all of the happiness! They were a joy to work with and I loved capturing their beautiful day.
