Colgate University Portrait Session – Erin

I’m so grateful for connecting with Erin and her mom. I met the two of them for Erin’s Colgate University portrait session and we made our way around campus and talked. I loved getting to know them. They recently moved back to the area from out of state. After moving back, they learned Erin could graduate from high school early because of the way her classes and credit transferred. She told me about her plans to take college courses in radiology and her plans to work in the field. Her gracefulness and confidence was incredible. I love to see a girl who knows what she wants and is determined to go for it. I had a great time talking with Erin – she’s such a sweet girl. And her mom is very proud. When I’d show her mom preview photos on the back of my camera, she would tear up. When Erin went to change outfits, her mom and I few minutes alone to talk. She was beaming when she talked about how kind, smart, and driven Erin is. She said how lucky of a mom she is, and how close the two of them are. I was honored to capture Erin’s personality and document this time in her life! She made this session so much fun and she had that “spark” behind the camera! They had a floral crown made for her to wear in some photos, which I loved. It fit her personality perfectly. Her yearbook quote will be “with grace in her heart and flowers in her hair.” Enjoy some of my favorites from this session!
